Reflecting on Term 4
That’s a wrap for 2025!
Performance at The McDonald College continued right to the end of the year. The HSC and Year 10 academic examinations, academic assessments, and completion of academic tasks in all other years, plus Year 11 Camp, Year 10 Formal, Junior School Swimming Lessons, An Evening of Classical Ballet, Composition on the Couch, Music Showcase, Musical Theatre Cabaret, Dance Choreographic Evening, Gallipoli Cup, multiple tennis tournaments, Senior Acting Productions, Junior Acting/Musical Theatre short film showings, Prefects Christmas Concert, Junior School Speech Day, Secondary Speech Night – to name many, but not all, of our activities in Term 4.
After such a busy term/year, our entire community deserves a well‑earned vacation. That said, Year 12 have work to complete in each of their subjects to prepare them for a successful and well‑organised HSC year ahead in 2026. Their preparation now will lead the way for a stress‑free Year 12.
Over the past week, we have taken the time to thank and farewell the following staff:
Mr Nguyen, Mr Hughes, Mr Douglas, Ms Bermingham, Mrs Rogers, Mrs McLean, Ms Beckett, and Ms Walker, and two Boarding House Supervisors – Mr Rogers and Ms Goodwin.
I thank each staff member leaving us for retirement, the pull of the North Coast, or a new chapter of life and wish them happiness and success.
I wish our community Season’s Greetings, and I hope you enjoy reflecting through the term that was in the following pages.
