Harmony in the Hall: Our Students at the HICES Music Festival

On Wednesday 20 August, four of our music students—Tanushree, Nina, Amities, and Ali—took part in the HICES Music Festival, an annual event that brings together students from independent schools across NSW for several days of music-making and collaboration.

After rehearsing at The Tops Conference Centre, the festival culminated in a concert at Sydney Town Hall, where students performed in large ensembles under the direction of experienced conductors. The evening showcased a wide range of musical styles and highlighted the effort and enthusiasm each student brought to the experience.

We’re proud of Tanushree, Nina, Amities, and Ali for representing our school with such dedication. Their participation was a great opportunity to grow as musicians, connect with others, and be part of something bigger than themselves.

A big thank you to Ms Bermingham for organizing the trip and accompanying our students throughout the festival, to HICES and all the staff who made the festival possible—and to our students, who continue to inspire us with their creativity and commitment.
