Book Week Parade Magic

This year’s Book Week Parade was a vibrant celebration of imagination, creativity, and the joy of reading! Our school came alive with colour, character, and plenty of excitement as students and staff dressed up as their favourite literary icons.

From the moment the parade began, it was clear that everyone had put a lot of thought and enthusiasm into their costumes. We saw a delightful Paddington Bear complete with his signature red hat and blue coat, a shimmering Little Mermaid who looked like she swam straight out of a fairytale, and not one but two Harry Potters, each ready to cast a spell with their wands and Gryffindor scarves.

The magic didn’t stop there—The Wizard of Oz was well represented with Dorothy, the Scarecrow, and the Wicked Witch from the west making an appearance. Disney princesses twirled through the crowd, bringing sparkle and smiles wherever they went. Beyond these, there were countless other characters from beloved books, each one bringing a unique story to life.

It was heartwarming to see the Junior School community come together to celebrate the power of books and storytelling. The day was not just about costumes—it was a reminder of how stories connect us, inspire us, and allow us to dream big.

A huge thank you to everyone who participated and helped make this event so special. We can’t wait to see what next year’s Book Week brings!
