A Whimsical Wonderland Brought to Life by Junior School Performers
In Term 2 the stage lit up with magic, mayhem, and marvellous imagination as The McDonald College’s Primary Acting students presented The Adventures of Alice in Wonderland by Tammy Barton and Gayann Truelove.
In a charming short performance, our Junior School actors took audiences on a whimsical journey down the rabbit hole, exploring the topsy-turvy world of Lewis Carroll’s classic tale. From the moment Alice tumbled into Wonderland, the audience was swept into a land filled with colour, chaos, and curiosity.
It was a joy to see how confidently our young performers embraced their roles—whether it was the ever-smirking Cheshire Cat changing colours, a rhyming bubble-blowing Caterpillar, the outrageous Mad Hatter, or the hilariously paranoid Humpty Dumpty. The Queen and King of Hearts delivered plenty of laughs as they challenged Alice to an unforgettable game of croquet, joined by two blind moles and a lively crew of playing cards and bumbling brothers.
Bravo to the entire cast and crew for bringing this delightful story to life with such enthusiasm and charm. Special thanks go to our dedicated tech team and brilliant costume department, whose behind-the-scenes work added sparkle and polish to every scene.
